Normally it’s the parent that teaches the child but sometimes it’s the other way around.

My friend over at Faithfullybeautiful.com asked me what I thought makes me #FaithfullyBeautiful recently. This is such a powerful question and one that I think is important to ask of other bloggers. Sometimes we get so busy with taking pictures, getting posts together, maybe working other jobs, that we lose sight of the truly important things. As the week goes on my faith doesn’t stay in the forefront of my mind and it’s really something that I’m trying to work on.

I think what makes me faithfully beautiful is actually my daughter. There is so much negativity and horrible things happening in this world that somehow we lose sight of the good God has here. Especially with this heated election year where the majority of people are spewing hate toward their fellow man. Then my sweet little three year old comes home from preschool singing “Yes Jesus Loves Me” and it really reminds me that you what, I’m not alone here. God is here for us through the negativity and the pain of this world. my daughter gets excited about the birds chirping and the sun setting and it amazes me how this little person can see the beauty that I ignore each day. Whether she’s singing about Jesus or the ABC’s, she reminds me that God created many great things in the world and that we can each do something small to make it all the better.
